Valentines Day

What another wonderful Valentine's Day! It seems just like yesterday it was Thanksgiving and Christmas. On Sunday we were able to spend Valentines Day with my family on my mom's side, the 'Beck' side. We had a delicious soup, salad, veggie, dessert bar. It was fun to get together with my family and enjoy each others company. The evening included talking and catching up on times, and of course the girls tumbling act they performed for us!

On Monday we had our traditional Valentines Dinner. We waited for Camille to come home to celebrate with us. She was in Boise at KYG. Our Traditional Dinner is Lasagna. This is the first meal my mom ever cooked for my dad while they were dating. It's a great memory for them to have. Mom and I had fun getting decorations and coming up with ideas for the table. We got a red tablecloth, heart plates and napkins, and we found these cute glasses with red and pink polka dots on them. We also found these cute heart frames for each of us to put a picture in. Masons picture was of him shooting an arrow. It was so cute, he looked like cupid shooting his arrow of love! We found a Valentines/Love CD of favorite love songs that we played while eating. Dinner consisted of Lasagna, Garlic Bread, Green Salad, Brownie in the shape of a heart, Pink jello in the shape of a heart, and Root beer floats for dessert!! Mom and I had so much fun Surprising everyone with our Valentine Dinner!

On Valentines Day, I got to skype with my new family from Rexburg. They are Kinzi and Kenzie's Cousins that live in Plaino. I spent quite a bit of time at their home of the semester; doing laundry, eating dinner, and getting to know the kids. They are a wonderful family and I miss them so much. It was so much fun to be able to see and talk to Ali, Brady, Kennedy, Spencer, Whitney, and Dax on skype. When they got on they said how much they missed me. Little Dax was so cute. He kept saying, "miss you, miss you." It made me want to cry. But it totally made my day to be able to see them!!! What a Wonderful Valentines Day we had!!!

A Day With Henley Jo!!!

Miss Henley is one of the cutest girls I have ever seen. Yesterday her momma had to work, so we got to have her for most of the day!!! This poor little girl has been very sick :( But no matter how sick she has been, she always has the cutest smile for you and is so full of loves. She has grown up so much lately; walking, talking, playing. She is one smart little girl. She is also very spoiled; by her mom, Kaelan, Jackson, and of course her daddy, who she has wrapped around her little finger!!! I have a feeling they are not going to let her out of the house, EVER, when she gets older, because she is just to darn cute. :) She is so lucky to have the big brothers she does who are VERY protective of her. She also has great parents who love her to death.

Isn't she ADORABLE!!! We sure Love her. :)

'The Good Ole' Violin Days'

I have been playing the violin for the past 13 years!!! I have loved every moment of it; the new friends/musicians I have met, the experiences, performances and the memories I have made.

Just like a picture is worth a thousand words, a note is worth a a thousand songs, and I have experienced BOTH!!!!!

*A Trip To Rexburg*

What a fun weekend and vacation!!! My friend Tianna and I decided to take the weekend to see our friends in Rexburg!!!! Friday night consisted of our traditional trip to Big Jud's. Our traditional group is Mandie, Kinzi, Corry, and Kyle. Although, this time Riley was able to make it with us. Saturday, I was able to go with Tianna and Kassie, Daisey and David snowboarding up to Kelly's Canyon. It was the twins first time snowboarding, and they did great and caught on really fast. We had a blast all day and the mountain was really beautiful. The day was PERFECT for snowboarding; fresh new powder, sunshine, and plenty of heat!!! That night I also got to see Mandie play basketball. She is really talented in the sports area!! It was fun to be able to see all of my friends up their this semester!

The time came again when my vioin group could play Fandango again. Only this time, it was for the entire Burley High School, at their Multi-Cultural Day Assembly. This was the most people we had ever played for before. The crowd seem to really enjoy the song, as it is one of our favorites. Although, Brae was not able to make it in time to play with us. He was in another room in the school in a BPA Competition, and the assembly was running a lot faster than it was supposed to. Flustered and quite nervous because we were missing an important member of our group and hadn't practiced it that day Because we were on sooner than scheduled, we managed to pull through and perform a great performance!!!!

A New and Exciting Change!!!

Over the past couple of weeks, we made a few changes in our home. We now have an ORGAN!!!! Because of this new addition, we needed to make some alterations. In order to havea place for the speakers and amplifiers, we needed a place that wouldn't look tacky for them to be. So we installed a wall unit. We got a new t.v. and moved the furniture from our upstairs living room, to our family room downstairs. We also got new furniture for the living room upstairs.

We needed to move all of our furniture out so they could install the wall unit. Boy did our living room look bare to the bone. But we had a little fun with it while we could, and took advantage of this open area. Mariah, Mason, and I played glow in the dark frisbee, tag, gymnastics, etc. We had so much space, we could do anything we wanted. The kids loved being able to run around freely, without feeling like they were going to break anything; because guess what, there wasn't anything to break!!!

The upstairs looked really bare to, until we were able to get our new furniture.

The new furniture is quite a bit smaller than our previous set, but it is really gorgeous. We still have a little accessorizing to do make it more homey again; adding drapes, end tables and our new painting of the Twin Falls Temple!

And of course, with every project, you have to run into some kind of a problem or another. Well ours was finding water underneath our carpet, in the middle of the floor, weird. It was a true mystery figuring out where all of this water was coming from.
We love the new basement and how it looks! We spend a lot of time down here now!

And we LOVE the new Organ!!! It will sure make it easier to be able to practice at home now, rather than having to trek down to the church everytime we needed to practice, which was quite a hassle. Dad is the best organist I have ever met!

And of course with all of his many talents, he shares them with us. I have been learning the organ for the past 3 years, and love it, as well has Camille. Mason and Mariah can hardly wait to learn and love practicing their festival pieces on it now. Learning the organ was quite challenging and took me a while to get the hang of. Dad is in LOVE with his organ! He practices it every morning and night, and even when he comes home for lunch. The organ has such a great tone and sounds really cool in our home, and of course it always sounds good when Dad is playing it.

I hate change, but this is a change that was worth giving into. I love the new changes we have made!!!
