Happy Birthday Mom!

Happy Birthday Mom! You are the best mother in the ENTIRE World! You deserve to have the Best birthday Ever! I'm so glad I was able to come home this weekend, and sorta surprise you:) It was fun trying anyways. I loved the fried pickles and Ice Cream Cake, good choice! Thanks for everything you have done for me and for always being there for me and supporting my in everything I do. You are the best and I couldn't ask for a better Mom! I LOVE YOU!

What Weekends are For!

GOING HOME!!!! I love the weekends when I get to go home and be with my family and Sheldon. This weekend was extra fun! I surprised my mom by coming home for her birthday, without her knowing about it. Unfortunately, she suspected it. But everyone was really good about covering up for me. I love Surprises. I scared her, Mariah, Mason, and Camille, four different times. It was hilarious. We went to the Drift Inn for her Birthday dinner. MMMmmm, I Love fried Pickles! We rented Extraordinary Measures and that was a really good and clean movie. On Saturday, Sheldon and I went to the movies, Shrek 4. That was a really cute movie. The power or projector even shut off, which was something new that has never happened. Let me tell you, it can get a little crazy when the entire room, filled with many many children, goes completely pitch black during the middle of the movie. Everyone was pretty good while we waited for them to get it started again. We took a short trip to Twin to get a board game, the settlers. This is a new game that I love to play. Then we all got to enjoy Sheldon in his act with the branch presidency at the 7 stake Singles Talent Show. That was a hoot to watch. We had so many neat talents. Sheldon, was by far the best looking one and the funniest. He was crackin' me up! This weekend was one of the best! I loved every minute of it, and can't wait for next week! I get an extra long weekend!

Family Home Evening Barbeque- 10'

New Semester, new faces, new friends, new classes, and new FHE Group! This semester our FHE group consists of 2 girls apartments, and 4 local Rigby boys. Tyler McOmber, Ryker, Mica, and Brandon are our FHE brothers. Kenzie Peterson, Vanessa Brulotte, Katie Davidson, Cori Orr, Joanna Bond, Kenzie, Lauren, Claire, and I can't remember the rest of the girls names, haha. This semester we are going to have another great group. We really seem to mesh, get along, and have a great time together.
For FHE this week, we had a barbeque at Porter Park! We had hot dogs, salads, and smore's. Ryker also made dutch oven peach-strawberry-blueberry Cobbler! It was YUMMY! We played some tennis, frisbee, and soccer. There was even some tree climbing and cheerleading going on. It was rather entertaining to see Tyler, Brandon, and Mica get lifted up into elevator. Lauren was so funny. She kept telling Tyler to lock his knees. She told him to think of a penny squeezed between his bottom cheeks and that he needed to squeeze tight so that the penny didn't fall out. When Tyler was helping lift Brandon, he would yell, "Use Form, Use form." It was hilarious. We laughed so hard. I look forward to our future FHE activities! We have some excellent ones planned.

Sunday Chefs

Sunday's are the best meal days! It's the day when everyone is home and has time to sit around the table and enjoy a good, home cooked meal together. This is one of the things I miss from home. Up at school, this is the time when we aren't running around from one study group to another, and to all of our classes, and hurrying to get our homework done. We can relax and get to know each other more. Well...me and Kenzie are the Sunday chefs and have been since last semester! It has become a tradition of ours. Today we had our first Sunday meal together. We made Lemon Parmesan chicken and rice, and onion potatoes. They were so good! It is so fun to cook together, and we feel so grown up doing it. I love feeling accomplished and knowing I can make a good meal, just not as good as my parents. I Love Sundays!

~Happy Mothers Day~

Happy Mother's Day Mom!!!! You are the BEST Mom in the Entire World!!! Happy Grandmothers Day Grandma Blaine and Grandma Gwen!!! You are the best grandmothers in the world! What a wonderful weekend we had! Of course....what could be better than going home for the weekend to spend it with my mom and family. We got to cheer Mason and Mariah on at their soccer games, which by the way, they did fantastic. Mason made the winning goal for his team! We got to go pick out flowers for mom! Mason is quite the mama's boy. He is so cute and would do anything for her. On Sunday, we had a wonderful meal together. Grandma and Grandpa Blaine came over. We had turkey, mashed potatoes, corn, cabbage salad, and pretzel/jello salad! YUM!!! My Favorite. We went out to Melissa's for dessert and some more family time. It's always sad when you have to say goodbye to everyone and go back to school.
There are a hundred reasons why my mom is the BEST Mom! First of all...She's my mom! She has been there for me and supported me in everything I have done; music lessons, recitals, birthday parties, school, clubs, sicknesses, Young Women's, sports, first date, school dances, friends, fights, first day of college, tests, late nights, graduation. She has helped me get through all of my trials, tribulations, happiness's, and all of my crazy emotions. She offers the best advice. You can call her any time of the night. Even if it is 2:30 in the morning to cry to her and ask her for her advice when you have the hives. But manly it was just so I could hear her voice and have her make me feel better. She can always tell what I am thinking and what I am feeling, and knows how to make me feel better. We have had so many laughs together and are always crazy when we are together. She is one of the most talented people I know. She can cook, sew, dance, play any sport, paint, scrapbook, stay up late, comfort, teach, guide, and most of all, she is an EXAMPLE to me! Next to my mom I have the greatest grandmothers. They spoil me. I love going to their house to spend the night and be with them. They are great examples to me as well. I love how all three of them are very strong in the gospel and have shared that gift with me. Most of all, I love how we can be ourselves around each other. My mom, grandma, Ains, CeLes, and Melissa are so fun when they all get together! Mother's Day is a day where we can honor them, but most of all, spend time together as a family.

Birthday Fun!

My second semester of College has already started. My how fast the winter break went by. It was probably 4 of the best months of my life so far. A lot of new and great changes have happened. This is my second week in school and my first weekend up here at BYU-Idaho. Last weekend I went home, and had a great time. This weekend was also a great weekend! Sheldon came up and visited me! It made my whole weekend. It's amazing at how slow the week seems to go and then the weekend finally comes and it goes by so fast. Sheldon is so good to me and we had a really great time together. All of my friends and roomies love him. I mean, how could they not? :) He is Amazing!
My old roommate, Mandie Saurey, from fall semester came up to visit also this weekend. We all begged her to come up this weekend since it was her birthday. We threw a surprise party for her. It was so much fun, decorating and sneaking around. We had quite a big crowd in our apartment. It was so fun to hide and yell surprise when she walked in. She was so funny. She had been telling Jessica and Vanessa that she didn't want a birthday party or for anyone to know. But we didn't let that stop us. When she opened the door and we yelled surprise! The look on her face was priceless....she yelled, "I don't want a party," and ran away. It was hilarious. Tate, her older brother, went out and carried her in. We had cake, brownies, and ice cream and just had a good time together. On Sunday, we gave her the ice cream cake we got her and that is how we broke our fast. I must say, I think that should be a tradition every fast Sunday, breaking your fast with an ice cream cake.

GOLFING!!!...not my best sport.

Sheldon took me, Mariah, and Mason to the shooting range to golf a bucket of balls. We had a lot of fun...although, I realized, I'm really not that good or coordinated. Plus, I look kinda funny. But, I did make it to the 100 yard line. But Sheldon is very patient and very encouraging.
Dang, doesn't he look good!!! And so professional! He hit that sucker not only far, but over the fence. All the way to Edith's infact. He has quite the arm!
ha, and then there is me, who just looks like a total idiot. I didn't realize how funny I look golfing until I saw the pictures. But who cares, its just something fun to do. I would miss at least 3 times before I would actually hit the ball. I used the excuse as it being my wind up. Then mom came over, and she showed us all up. She hit that ball straight, perfect, and far.
But then on the plus side, I did have Sheldon there to REALLY help me out!!! :) And my form looked a lot better after he helped with the positions and everything. Except for the first time when I hit him in the face, haha! My bad....
Mariah is just so cute when she swings the club. She made it so much fun to golf with. Me and her had some good laughs.
And then there is Mason who is the athlete of the family, and is good at anything you give him to play with. He really enjoyed Sheldon taking us. He looks up to him, and really needs a brother. Camille was there with us this time, but next time she will have to go with us.
