What a load of fun we had camping this weekend for Memorial Day with Sheldon and his family! We had quite the fun group; Denise, Russ, and Whitney Mallory, Pablo Marin, Carla and Russ Taylor, Grandpa Lenny and Donna, Scott and Melodie Evans and their grandkids; Taylor, Skyler, Ryder, and Braxton, and Grandma Charlie came up on Saturday, and Uncle Larry and his wife came up on Sunday. Jaxson spent the night with us on Saturday and then Matt, Aimee, and Kenlyn came up on Sunday. And of course we had their dogs; Bear, Abby, TJ, and Bandit. It was definitely a fun Group! We went up to Heglar Campground. It was absolutely gorgeous up there. It was so green and grassy, and surrounded by trees. It was the perfect spot.
It rained and snowed on us all of Friday and half of Saturday, so it was really muddy when we got up there. Our trailer, truck, and suburban definitely showed it. Ha, I have never seen our cars so dirty in my life. I could tell it was definitely driving my dad crazy. In fact, when he went home for his Patriotic Practice, he came back and the suburban was clean. We knew he couldn't stand it.
Our weekend was full of riding the 4-wheelers, playing games, visiting, roasting a million marshmellows and hot dogs, swimming, freezing, sweating, and sitting by the campfire. It was such a relaxing weekend that I almost forgot I had to come back to school. Mom and Dad are definitely hooked on 4-wheelers! They were addicted to how fun they were. We went a a gorgeous ride up to the top of the mountain. The view overlooking the valleys were breathtaking!
We drove up to Indian Hot Springs to go swimming. They said the pool was 90 degrees, but they lied. It was not that warm. We kept swimming and treading water to keep warm. And occasionally the sun would come out and warm us up. After we got all showered, we drove to Poky to go to Winger's! Mom went with her hair straight, shocking, and we all did not look ready to be out in public. It was so funny. Our meal was Great! Sheldon, Whit, Pablo, and Russ got 50 wings! Holy cow it was alot. Whit wanted the hot wings, and boy were they hot. And they weren't even the atomic wings. Our mouths were burning and I just had a tiny taste. I even tried the Blackberry coke, which was super yummy! We had SOOOOO much FUN this weekend!!!! Definitely worth it. I Love Sheldon, his family, and Mine! They sure know how to have a camping weekend!!!
